In the grasslands that belonged to King Thumper there was a town called Bunny City. The king loved to be the talk of the town. Everyone had to praise him. But what he didn’t know was that all the rabbits in the city did not always talked how great he was, it was the quite the opposite! The king was very lonesome. More than he had ever been in his life.
What should I do today, thought King the to himself. “Well…I know what to do! I should send one of my servants to ask if someone will keep me company,” King Thumper said loudly.
He called for his faithful servant. “Go to the city. Ask someone if they will…um…that they can keep me company,” demanded King Thumper. “Okay, sir,” said his servant bowing deeply. Gee, the king is really bored today, thought the servant.
The king’s servant strolled down the streets looking for someone to keep the King Thumper company. “Let’s see. I don’t see any one that king can have fun with,” muttered the servant. Then he paused, “Aha! I found you,” he yelled the servant.
“What did I do?” said a voice.
“Oh, I’m sorry. Can you come with me? You need to keep the king company, Bob,” said the servant recognizing one of the kings loyal subjects.
“Why?! Is he ill?” gasped Bob.
    “No!” whispered the servant.
Bob and the servant walked to the main gate and waited for the guards to open the bridge to King Thumper’s castle. As the bridge opened, it made a creaky, rusty sound. Then the servant and Bob quickly paced into the main room.
One of the guards from the door came in and said, “Do wish to see King Thumper, and for what reason?” growled the guard.
“Yes, William, and tell him I have what he wants,” barked the servant.
“Sir, your servant is here with what you want,” “Oh…send him in, guard,” ordered the king.
“The King wants you,” said the guard. Bob and the servant marched in the large room where King Thumper sat on the throne.
“Here we are in the Royal room,” said the servant.
“Well, hurry up. What have you got to entertain me?” inquired the king.
“But all I have is a knapsack and some paper,” demurred Bob. “Oh! I know,” Bob said suddenly.
“What do you have in mind?” asked King Thumper. “Origami,” said Bob.
“Origami. What’s that?” asked the king as he scratched his head.
Bob furiously began folding a sheet a paper. “It’s really wonderful. All you need to do is folded paper into a shape you imagine—here you go,” he said as he handed the paper to the king.
The king tried to copy what he has seen Bob do.
“This is…Arr! I can’t do this!” the king said as he crumbled the paper into a ball.
“Look you made um…a snowball,” said Bob.
“Oh, yeah…I did, didn’t I,” laughed King Thumper.
“You like origami, don’t you, sir,” remarked Bob.
“Yes, I do, and I want you to show everyone in the city how to origami!” ordered King Thumper.
